Braised Lamb Shanks in a Dutch Oven!

Here’s the recipe for braised lamb shanks in a Dutch oven:
Ingredients for 4 People:

4 lamb shanks

2 onions, diced
-
4 garlic cloves, chopped
-
2 carrots, diced
-
2 celery stalks, diced
-
2 sprigs of rosemary
-
500 ml full-bodied red wine
-
500 ml lamb or vegetable stock
-
Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for searing
Method:
1️⃣ Preheat the Dutch oven over the campfire.
2️⃣ Sear the lamb shanks in a little olive oil on all sides until they develop a beautiful brown crust. Remove them from the Dutch oven and set aside.
3️⃣ In the remaining fat, sauté the onions, garlic, carrots, and celery until lightly browned.
4️⃣ Return the lamb shanks to the Dutch oven and add the red wine, stock, and rosemary sprigs.
5️⃣ Cover the Dutch oven and let the lamb shanks braise over the embers for about 2–3 hours, until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
6️⃣ Serve the braised lamb shanks in deep plates with mashed potatoes and garnish as desired.
