Beef Goulash
Ingredients for 4–6 people:

800 g beef goulash, cut into cubes

2 onions, diced

3 garlic cloves, chopped

2 bell peppers, sliced
-
2 carrots, sliced
-
500 ml beef broth
-
400 g diced tomatoes (canned)

2 tbsp tomato paste
-
2 tbsp sweet paprika powder
-
1 tsp caraway seeds
-
2 bay leaves (correcting: “norbert leaves” likely bay leaves)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp oil for frying
Instructions:

Light your coals and let them burn down until you have glowing embers.
2️⃣
Heat the Dutch oven over the coals and add oil. Brown the beef in batches until nicely seared. Remove and set aside.

Add onions, garlic, bell peppers, and carrots to the Dutch oven. Sauté until lightly browned.
4️⃣
Add tomato paste, paprika powder, and caraway seeds. Stir well and let it toast briefly to release the aromas.

Return the beef to the pot. Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes. Stir and bring everything to a simmer.

Cover the Dutch oven and let the goulash cook over the glowing coals for about 2–3 hours, until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened. Stir occasionally and add a little liquid if needed.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
