Ingredients:

4 chicken breast fillets

2 tbsp olive oil

250 g mushrooms, sliced

1 large onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, chopped

250 ml Marsala wine
-
200 ml chicken broth

2 tbsp flour

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish
Preparation:

Lightly coat the chicken breasts with flour and season with salt and pepper.

Prepare all ingredients and preheat your cast iron pot on the stove.
2. Sear the chicken:

Heat olive oil in the cast iron pot over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. Prepare the vegetables:

In the same pot, sauté onions and mushrooms until soft, about 5–7 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Make the Marsala sauce:

Pour in the Marsala wine and stir well to deglaze the pan.

Add chicken broth and let the sauce gently simmer.
5. Add chicken and simmer:

Return the chicken breasts to the pot.

Reduce heat, cover, and let everything simmer for about 20–25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
